Our honest review of the Vango Nomad Smokeless Fire Pit
As the nights begin to cool, you can’t beat getting cosy around a fire pit. Whether it’s a romantic evening alone or a gathering with friends and family, ours enables us to continue enjoying the outdoors long into the autumn and winter — and as someone who doesn’t like being cold, that’s saying something!

Best Portable Smokeless Fire Pit
Our biggest selling point of the Nomad fire pit is how portable it is. Weighing just over 6kg, it packs down completely flat and comes with a really handy carry bag for storage and transportation. When you’re ready to use it, we find it quick and easy to assemble, with the sides slotting together, securely fastened to the base by 3 sturdy latches. Despite its compact size (38cm x 34.5cm x 32.5cm), it gives off a great amount of heat, and the “smokeless” design really works. As someone with sensitive lungs, this another super important feature!
One thing that’s worth mentioning is that it sits quite low to the ground, so we’d recommend putting it on a heat-resistant surface or a stand. Other than that, we can’t fault it! The features listed above make it the best portable fire pit we’ve come across — Especially when you consider the reasonable price-point (currently retailing for approximately £75).
While we would never replace our high-end Solo Stove fire pit, we were looking for something more budget-friendly, durable and portable, to take on adventures near and far. And that’s exactly what we’ve found in the Vango Nomad!
